VNA offers seasonal flu vaccine

Clinics will be held at the Spitzer Center in North Adams on Monday, Oct. 15, from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.; Clarksburg Senior Center on Tuesday, Oct. 23 from 10-11:30 a.m.; and at St. Joseph’s Court in North Adams on Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 9-11 a.m.
“Seasonal” flu vaccine helps to protect individuals against three identified strains of flu.
An annual seasonal flu shot is recommended for anyone over the age of 65 or who has a chronic illness, and for those who wish to reduce the risk of contracting the flu this winter. It is still important to be vaccinated against seasonal flu, which is responsible for thousands of deaths each year.
